What happens when water gets in the phone?

Once the water gets in the iPhone, it is very easy to make the water evaporate. But what remains after the evaporation kills phone components. Minerals form on the contacts and on the logic board, causing corrosion that eventually makes phone die.

What do we do?

At step 1 we check your phone to see the level of minerals and corrosion; if we observe too much corrosion, the logic board is placed in an ultrasonic chamber in addition with professional cleaning fluid were the board is cleaned by the ultrasonic waves. After cleaning voltage test are made at the board level and the consumption voltage is check if it's in standard by manufacturer.

If there is no corrosion on the logic board IPA is used to clean and remover the liquid residues from the surface of the board. Then voltage is checked on main integrated circuit on the board surface. 

 

What are the odds of it working again?

Water damage repairs for phones are very unpredictable; it all depends on the amount of water, mineral deposits, corrosion, and shorting of contacts on the board. The following are the outcomes which can happen with the water damage repairs:

What if everything works but the camera?

You pay an additional fee only if you agree with the repair. If all the components in your iPhone are working; if anything is not working like the camera or Wi-Fi then you only pay only the additional fee of the repair. 

What if I repair the camera and speaker is not working?

Before we quote any additional fee to the repair we check all the basic functions of your phone and you will be able to decide if you want to repair it or not. 

Except that some parts may work for a while and then stop working, we cannot predict during the repair which part may fail and when.
